Accounts and licenses
Create an organization, understand access and manage your license key.
RaceControl is a hosted service. Your organization works on racecontrol.cc; the connector runs on your Linux Assetto Corsa/ACSM server. Drivers do not need a RaceControl account to receive the HUD.
Create your workspace
- Open Create account and enter your organization name, email and password.
- Sign in at racecontrol.cc/login.
- Your organization page shows license status, detected servers, events and the public board.
Registration creates a workspace without a license. You can sign in and prepare the organization, but a license is required to connect servers and use live operations. Use the Request a license form on /account to describe your events and the number of server slots you need. You can update a pending request there. RaceControl administration reviews it and assigns licenses; there is no self-service purchase flow on the site.
Understand your license
A license has a stable License ID, a status, an optional expiry date and a server limit. The server limit counts linked server endpoints, not driver seats. Your organization page shows the ID and usage. The secret license key is different from the ID: the connector uses the key to authenticate to RaceControl.
The key is displayed only when issued or rotated. Keep it in a safe place. If you no longer have it, an organization manager can use Rotate key on /account. Rotation preserves the License ID and linked servers, but invalidates the old key immediately. The dialog shows the exact command to paste into the Linux server to update its connector. Repeat that command for each installation that uses the old key.
A newly rotated key will not work on an existing connector until that connector is updated. Avoid rotating it during a live event unless you can update the server immediately.
Link a server
After installing the connector, detected ACSM servers appear on /account. Check the public IPv4 and TCP port, then select Link. If your server does not appear, use Manual link. Linking consumes one slot of the license. Unlinking frees the slot; the connector removes RaceControl’s managed event configuration on its next sync.
The IP suggested by RaceControl is the address seen when the connector contacts the service. Check that it is the public address drivers use, especially behind NAT or a proxy. Each organization sees only its own servers, settings and race data.
Who can access what?
| Person | Access |
|---|---|
| Visitor | Public product pages and documentation; a board only if its organization published it. |
| Organizer with no active license | Account and license status; no live Race direction or Settings. |
| Organizer with active license | Own servers, Settings, Race direction and own license-key rotation. |
| RaceControl superadmin | Central administration and license management. |
The Administration area is reserved for RaceControl’s superadmin. Organizers manage their own workspace at /account, /settings and /race-direction.
